Should marketplaces include WhatsApp as a contact option on listings?

Private sellers or small professional sellers probably like the convenience. But larger professional sellers risk being overwhelmed by enquiries on WA. This is especially true in markets where demand exceeds supply (e.g. Western Europe real estate). Also, leads arriving directly on WA almost certainly won’t fit into the existing flows of many sellers, who use CRMs etc to manage inbound enquiries

The fact that there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach to sending leads to sellers on WA discourages some marketplaces from using it at all. But, it shouldn’t! With our API, marketplaces can be selective about how & when leads sent by users on WA are delivered to sellers. When implemented smartly, we think that WA as a contact option offers incredible value.
